A lip flip is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that uses a small amount of neorotoxins injected into the muscles around the upper lip. Specifically, it’s injected into the orbicularis oris muscle, which controls lip movement. The purpose of the lip flip is to relax the muscle just enough to cause the upper lip to gently roll outward, making it appear fuller and more defined without actually adding volume (as fillers do). It can also reduce the appearance of a “gummy smile” by limiting how much the upper lip rises when smiling.
